5.13.2010 | Football, Men's Lacrosse, Men's Swimming, General, Women's Lacrosse
Earlier this month, four Maritime student-athletes were honored by the State University of New York (SUNY) as recipients of the 2009-10 SUNY Chancellor’s Scholar-Athlete Award for their respective sports. Graduating-senior Robert Johnson, Jr. (Merrit Island, Fla.) from the football team, rising-senior Brian Day (Paramus, N.J.) from the men’s swimming team, rising-senior Alexander Korb (Islip, N.Y.) from the men’s lacrosse team and rising-sophomore Jorrie Trenkamp (Tabernacle, N.J.) from the women’s lacrosse team have all received letters and plaques from SUNY in recognition of their outstanding achievements.

4.24.2010 | Women's Lacrosse
The Maritime women’s lacrosse team lost to conference-opponent Mount Saint Vincent, 19-10, on Saturday in the squad’s final home game of 2010 at Reinhart Field. With the loss, the Privateers fall to 3-11 overall (2-5 Skyline), while the Dolphins improve to 6-5 overall (5-3 Skyline).

4.22.2010 | Women's Lacrosse
Sophomore tri-captain Catherine Brady (Holbrook, N.Y.) scored a game-high six goals to lead the Privateers to an exciting come-from-behind victory over conference-opponent Sage, 13-12, Thursday night at Reinhart Field. The win improves Maritime’s record to 3-10 overall (2-4 Skyline), while the Gators fall to 1-11 (1-6 Skyline).

4.21.2010 | Women's Lacrosse
Maritime junior Jill Davenport (Miller Place, N.Y.) was named to the Skyline Conference weekly honor roll on Monday for her efforts in the Privateers’ 1-3 week last week. This is the second time this season that Davenport earned a spot on the honor roll, as she also received the accolade on April 5.

The Maritime women's lacrosse team lost to non-conference opponent Keuka College, 16-3, Sunday afternoon in Upstate New York. The Privateers fall to 2-10 overall in defeat, while the Storm improve to 7-5 on the season.

Football
Barnes was named ECFC Defensive Player of the Week for Week 1 after he was all over the field Thursday night in the Privateers' 15-12 season-opening win over rival Mass. Maritime in the Fourth Annual Chowder Bowl, recording a game-high 17 tackles (14 solo and 3 assisted), including one for a loss of eight yards. He is no stranger to ECFC Defensive Player of the Week nods, as he earned the accolade a conference-best three times during the season in 2009.

Women's Soccer
Trenkamp was named to the Skyline Conference women's soccer honor roll for the first week of the season after she recorded the first two goals of the season for the Pirvateers in their loss at Southern Maine on Sunday.
