Rifle Can't Overcome Navy in Opening Match

Hempstead, New York. -- The SUNY Maritime rifle team held their own but were no match for the United States Naval Academy as they fired a 2039 on Saturday. The Naval Academy shot a 2327.

The Privateers were led by Brandon Webber (Massena, N.Y./Massena) (Massena, NY/Massena) with a 544, while Amanda Thompson (Evergreen, Colo./Lakewood) (Evergreen, CO/Lakewood) scored a 505. Mark DeMarco (Staten Island, NY/Curtis) had a 504, while James Worrall (Arlington, Va./Yorktown) (Arlington, VA/Yorktown) fired a  491.

Chris Lane (Gloucester, Mass./Gloucester) had a 486., Karly Moise-Duquella (Haiti/Young Jesus St. Theresa), recorded a 440, and Daniel Vorsky (Old Bridge, NJ/St. John Vianney) shot a 396.
