Cresswell Makes 1st Team All-Skyline Post Season Honors

THROGS NECK, NY – Senior utility player Matt Cresswell (Commack, NY/Commack) has been named to the Skyline’s All-Conference First Team following last season’s appearance on the second team. Cresswell is the only baseball representative from Maritime on either the first or second team. Matt was a third baseman, first baseman, and pitcher for the Privateers this season.
Cresswell is a four year player for the Privateers, and was this year’s team captain. He led the Privateers in homeruns (5) and RBI (16) for the second straight season, finishing his career with 11 homeruns and 62 runs batted in. He batted .279 for his career, after batting .280 this season. Cresswell hit a homerun in his final at-bat as a Privateer, a solo shot over the centerfield wall.
Cresswell will be graduating in May with a degree in Engineering. He was recently awarded with the team’s MVP award for this season.
