Men's Volleyball Defeats St. Joseph's-Brooklyn, 3-0

THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (March 2, 2010) – The Maritime men’s volleyball team defeated St. Joseph’s College of Brooklyn, 3-0, Monday night at the Riesenberg Hall Gymnasium. With the victory, the Privateers improve to an even 1-1 on the season, while the Bears fall to 1-4.
The scores of the match were 30-8, 30-23 and 30-16.
Sophomore Madison Leary led all players with 15 kills and had a team-high three blocks in the match. Junior Stephen Eugino recorded 13 kills in the win, while serving up a match-high nine service aces on the night.
The Maritime men’s volleyball team returns to action on Saturday, March 13, when the squad plays host to Bronx-rival Lehman College. First serve is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Riesenberg Hall Gymnasium.
