PROVIDENCE R.I. (April 8, 2010) – The Maritime women's lacrosse team lost on the road to Rhode Island College, 18-6, Thursday afternoon at the Anchorwomen's Varsity Athletic Complex. The defeat drops the Privateers' record to 1-6 overall on the season, while RIC improves to an even 3-3 overall.
Maritime had five different goal scorers in the game. The Privateers played a tremendous second half, outscoring the Anchorwomen 4-2. However, the 14-4 first-half deficit was too large to overcome. Maritime was 2-for-7 in free position shots in the game and RIC held a 21-15 ground ball advantage.
