THROGGS NECK, N.Y. – The Maritime Athletics Department is pleased to announce the creation of the Privateers Club, as announced by Director of Athletics Heather MacCulloch on Wednesday afternoon.
 
The Privateers Club was created to give alumni, family members, friends and others the opportunity to offer financial support to all of Maritime's 15 varsity athletic teams as well as club sport and intramurals to help the department's teams succeed both on and off the playing field, court, in the water, or on the course.

"I am so thrilled to make this announcement regarding the launch of the Privateers Club," said MacCulloch. "We have worked for almost two years on the collaboration of this project and now it is becoming a reality.  We are pleased to offer this exclusive membership to all our fans, donors, community constituents and external partners. We hope it is a driving tool that helps to continue building relationships for Maritime College Athletics for years to come and that our student-athletes can benefit for all they do in service to the college."

Privateers Club contributions are critical in providing Maritime College with the supplemental dollars needed to defray the expense costs of recruiting, facility and equipment improvements, team travel, uniform replacements, and an overall athletic experience that develops exceptional leaders to excel in life through competitive sports. All needed to provide top-line opportunities for current and future Privateers for years to come.
