Amanda Thompson Earns MAC Conference All-Academic Award

THROGS NECK, NY - Sophomore rifle shooter CDT Amanda Thompson has been named a MAC Conference All Academic Team Award recipient. League officials announced the honors yesterday, April 1. The All Academic Team Award recognizes student-athletes who have succeeded both academically and athletically. Thompson, who is a first-year member of the co-ed rifle team and Marine Operations major, carries a 3.6 grade point average and is a member of the Admiral’s List and an officer in the Artillery Club.
The Privateer rifle team won the 2008 – 2009 MAC Conference Championship on March 7, 2009, after defeating the University of the Sciences in Philadelphia (USP).
