THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (Dec. 21, 2011) – The long-anticipated documentary
“A Game of Honor,” which gives an in-depth look into the historic rivalry between the football teams of the U.S. Military Academy and the U.S. Naval Academy premieres Wednesday night on Showtime at 10 p.m.
The documentary was co-produced by Emmy Award-winning producer
Pete Radovich, who was one of the first to contact Maritime Athletics during the fall of 2010 after hearing the story of head coach
Clayton Kendrick-Holmes' impending deployment to Afghanistan with the U.S. Naval Reserve at the conclusion of the football season.
Kendrick-Holmes, a Naval Academy graduate and former linebacker for the Midshipmen, was then followed by Radovich's camera crews for the rest of the Privateers' undefeated 2010 championship campaign, then during his time leading up to deployment and once again when he returned home from Afghanistan during the summer of 2011. His inspiring story of dedication to his team, the university and his country will be featured during the documentary, along with other uplifting stories of graduates from both Army and Navy.
Two webisodes debuted on the documentary's website during November that went more in-depth with Kendrick-Holmes' story. They were titled: “Maritime Football: Pursuing A Goal” and “Maritime Football: Call to Serve” and can be viewed by

“A Game of Honor” premieres tonight at 10 p.m. ET/PT on Showtime. The encore presentation will be at 1 a.m. ET/PT on Showtime Extreme.
