THROGGS NECK, N.Y. (March 4, 2013) – Privateer sophomore Albert Doerbecker (Point Lookout, N.Y./Long Beach) (Point Lookout, N.Y./Long Beach) was named the Skyline Conference Baseball Player of the Week for his performance in the first five games of the season, as announced on Monday by Skyline Assistant Commissioner Steve Haug.
 
        Over the weekend, Doerbecker went 2-for-3, smacking a triple and driving in two runs on Saturday night in Maritime's 11-4 rout over D'Youville. He also collected four hits in six at bats in a doubleheader on Sunday. He drove in two runs and scored once during that twin billing.
 
        On the year, Doerbecker is leading the team with a batting average of .500, slugging .688, and has an on-base of .529, combining for an OPS of 1.217.
