At Maritime:
2013: Junior Season – Hugh was elected by his teammates to the Football Leadership Council. Hugh earned Privateer Lifting Level Award lifting 320 lbs. in his 4 max outs. He appeared in every game for the Privateers last season recording 57 Tackles, 8 Sacks and 14 Tackles for loss. Hugh was selected to the First Team All–ECFC Offense, as well as a nominee for the Cliff Harris Award recognizing the Small College Defensive Player of the Year. Hugh was selected as the team’s Defensive Player of the Week three times and named the War–Face Captain of the week twice.

2012: Sophomore Season – Hugh had a tremendous second season with the Privateers as he pulled down second team All–ECFC honors. He was the leading tackler on the defensive line and third overall with 56 total tackles. He also turned in 8.5 sacks, 2 tackles for loss, deflected 2 passes, forced one fumble and blocked one kick. Hugh was named defensive player of the week for his efforts against King’s Point.

2011: Freshman Season – Hugh burst onto the scene as a primary defensive backup on the line and also as a Special Teams performer. He played in each of the first 8 games before an injury sidelined him for the last 2 and he led all defensive linemen in production points per play. Hugh contributed 12 tackles, 3.5 tackles for loss (24 yards), 1.5 sacks and 2 forced fumbles on the season as the Maritime defense logged one of its best statistical years ever. Hugh was also named Special Teams Player of the Week for his efforts against USMMA–King’s Point.

Academics: Hugh is majoring in Maritime Studies and earned Dean’s List recognition for the spring semester 2012.

Prior to Maritime:
Hugh played football for Coach Burger at Westbury High School. While at Westbury, Hugh was selected as Senior Captain.
